Personal Change
Clean with Cleaners You Can Eat: a reference book for how to replace toxic cleaning chemicals with body & environment-friendly cleaners, saving money, your own health, and the health of your environment!
- Includes safe, alternative bleaching agents!
 - Provides a lot of background information about what cleaning products do (or don’t).

As a general rule, prefer mechanical solutions to chemical solutions:
- To prevent expensive clogs in your pipes, start with fine mesh filters to keep larger detritus out of the drain.
 - To unclog drains, instead of using toxic chemical “drain cleaners” that can cause costly damage to pipes, it’s best to start with a snake or drain weasel. And don’t pour oil down the drain! Collect it in old tins and find how to dispose of it depending on your local regulations.
