Ethical conduct as the foundation of health
Interdependent health is rooted in ethics. It is inquiring deeply into how we live and how our health and activity are intertwined.
When we are disconnected from our ethical values, our bodies and minds suffer.
- What is a small step we can take toward supporting our own health and wellbeing?
- What is a small step we can take toward supporting another being’s health and wellbeing?
- In the spirit of true offering, we can offer assistance, resources, support but not force—then it becomes a transgression that harms the wellbeing of both parties.
Interdependence is the root of ethics. Why do we need ethics? Because we impact one another by virtue of our interconnectedness. Because we are interdependent, it matters what we do. We are like a complex domino universe.
